Sister Poems

She asked to follow me home,
She was not certain of the way,
I hate to drive in convoys,
But I agreed to it just the same.
We came to this big Roundabout,
With many exit paths,
I joked with my passengers,
To lead her a merry dance.
She followed me round one time,
And then a second and third,
But on the fourth circuit,
Hysterical laughter in my car was heard.
It was not a good prank,
It was not fair to do,
But once I started this joke,
I had to see it through.
My Sister-in-law was not amused,
But conceded to the jape,
But on future occasions,
She followed others to be safe.

When our mother’s sister came to town
we were so happy that our mother’s sister
would be close by at hand.
Having grown in this distant place
away from where most relatives lived,
insequirities of cloistered life saw hope
in our aunt’s coming to town.
We never imagined that our mother and aunt
being siblings could have deep rooted rivalries
of affection and qualities.
Preoccupation with families and distance
had probably put the dust below the carpet.
When the carpet is being cleaned
the families are getting choked
with the dust of their relationship.

Entranced by entropy; chosen through chaos
In love with mortality-
My psychic sister says: ‘Enough of this’.
A screaming wind howls in pain.
The shipwrecked sailor takes the reigns,
Of the runaway horses of death’s broken carriage;
Carrying the tortured souls of two lovers unmarried.
The seething sea spews up a cargo of corpses;
Which bob in the moonlight; their dance of the damned.
Performing solo rituals at destiny’s dread hand.
Longing to see the end of their days;
Killing time left in their own special way.
Lucifer smiles his twisted grin and the servant of hate
Pours a last glass of wine, before sealing the fate;
Of the brother and sister who ran out of time.

My sister became a parakeet
I would go to my daughters house
and see her clinging on the screen
of the front window and screeching
to other birds in an old Maple tree.
Her wings would spread and
would extend far outward,
her reflection in that window
Outside, a morning dove, my brother
would urge her to come and fly,
the racoon sleeping under the bushes,
my other brother, would laugh
‘ No.’she would answer in a screech.
The blue of her wings were like the sky
the tips unclipped, had grown, and there
was nothing to stop her from leaving.
I heard the birds singing from across the
street…and watched the parakeet sit beside
the black and white cat above the couch.
The bird named my sister…’a bad dream
is all it is, she told the cat.
I wanted to open the window and let
her fly away with the Morning doves
And only the moon and stars would know
my secret.

It was the perfect ending
To a relationship that
Was going nowhere
I did not want her.
I had noticed that
Since she came into my life
It had taken a turn
For the worse.
I used to be smug
Now I was in tethers
I used to be gay
Now I was hassled.
I had to end it all
The break was needed
No compulsory other sister
I had a family enough.
Go away now, let us part ways
Let only our memories
Tell what has been
Don’t give ill spirits a chance
To know what we do
And seek hence to hurt
For the wrong
Of having been siblings.
You are a sister outside the oath
You have no part in the promise
You must go now so that the
Venegeful gods do not harm me.

Love can never separate us,
It’s all deception,
The shallow minds that deceive,
I think and act right,
My mind activate,
I thought all that I studied about you,
It was all betrayals and Iam only human,
I did not make this world,
What is deception?
What is truth?
I loved you like a sister,
But you need to change sister,
I loved you like a brother for truth,
Whilst you denied the genius in me,
Telling Maxim that he is a lier and a con-man,
Whilst it’s all a lie,
What I wrote is truth by word,
Unfeigned verse,
What is your purpose for me humanity?
What I write will remain a legacy,
It will never be forgotten,
You can never believe what I wrote,
It was written,
The Lord Master is real,
That I still can never believe Iam alive,
I have alot of stories to tell,
Since my reincarnation is coming,
Another story is told,
Iam the lover and not the lier.
