All the restless nights,
I lay there thinking of ways to make you notice me…
In the halls I try so hard to stand a little taller…
Just to peek over the crowds of people…
To see, by chance I might catch a glimpse…
Of those glistening brown eyes, and energetic smile…
I can’t explain this feeling…
Burning deep inside of me…
It’s like that first day of school…
Or that first kiss…
When those butterflies fly all around in your stomach…
But when you look at me,
They all float away…
