My Rainbow
It’s such a spin on life, don’t you think?
Confuse me with shades of blue and pink
Comes after a gloomy, dreary rain
And lifts my spirits up again
I try to touch it but its always far away
Out of reach, and fades into the day
It seems as if it’ll slip through my hand
But I keep trying over and over again
You’re like my rainbow in the sky
You make me warm and oh so shy
I’ll kiss these raindrops and say good-bye
I feel so happy like I’m high
You’re always close but just never near
A silent wonder that I can’t hear
If I keep trying will it be manageable?
To touch something that’s intangible.
