Color Swirls

DownUp +10

Draw and trace,
fill and color.
Color Swirls
become a wonder.
Breathe in,
breathe out.
Color Swirls
are what it’s about.
Let the colors whirl
across my mind.
Watch them fill it
rendering me blind.
See them dance
in my vision –
only swirls,
no precision.
Feel the dizziness
like a wave.
Float in it;
drift away.
Red comes first,
posing as regret.
Then, on yellow,
an orange silhouette.
Now see blue:
a roiling calm;
see purple and green:
the Peeping Toms.
See black,
then white –
one dark,
one light.
See them here;
see them there:
Colors Swirling
in a taunting affair.
Color Swirls –
or are they emotions?
Feelings… or colors?
A peculiar notion.
Breathe again
and fall asleep
as colors whirl
in my dreams deep.
